I’m currently working on the BBC’s move north to Salford Quays. It’s like coming home as I started life as a journalist in local radio in the north – ending up as news editor at BBC GMR for a while. Then London called, and a stint producing business output for BBC network radio, followed by a stock market game show for Channel 4 – producing that was an odd move but fun, and it did win the Royal Television Society Best Daytime Show, 2000. That all resulted from doing my post-grad in radio and TV journalism at UCLan …

Turbo Lemon's approach to business isnt strictly, well, business. It soon became obvious that we were in it largely because we love design and communication. Web design, graphic design, visual communication, the written word. Our passion was in our work and how we could help people with our creative solutions. We dont like to sit still too long and we find ourselves charging firmly to the cusp of new ideas and technologies. We adapt, we innovate, we accommodate.

The great commercial opportunity of the decade 2010-2020 is centred on aggregating legacy customer data and tracking customers web and mobile activity, but think it through, what are you going to do if your system can’t handle the data?
What Do We Do?
Funnel 21 provides one aggregated customer and supplier database with no IT hardware spend. Our platform is built to maximise commercial opportunity and minimise administration.
Does It Work?
The base technology we implement is being utilised by Lockheed Martin to aggregate the data of the 1300 suppliers with whom they build military aircraft.
Sports and Media
A large number of sporting brands from and the USA and Europe have asked Funnel 21 if we could provide a solution. As a consequence in October 2009 we embarked on a pilot with a Premier League football club to aggregate their customer data from disparate internal systems on one platform with the aim of maximising commercial advantage. This project will provide the template for a global sports business management and database engine and give all sports partners’ massive competitive advantage in sponsorship negotiations and day to day marketing.
Sector Agnostic
We are also in discussion with major global manufacturers in the food industry, banking sector and a global marketing company. Our technology is sector agnostic and can be used to aggregate data for administrative purposes, or equally to aggregate customer bases for commercial purposes, fully preparing your business for the input of web and mobile profiling.

Negative convention always gets me going, and right now that's the way business, mass production and commerce works. So, I've started a company called Socks for Happy People to show that things can be done very differently! Check out http://www.socksforhappypeople.com to see how...
Previous to this I told people I worked as a 'designer for society' coming up with multi-disciplinary creative comments and solutions to issues society faced. Heavy huh?
I also producing work for brands like Habitat and DKNY.
